HEROES (international) alumni conference

Dear alumni,

We are delighted to invite you to the HEROES Future Skills Alumni Conference 2026 “The Human Factor in the Age of AI”, which will take place from 17 to 19 September 2026 at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology.

The 2026 conference will focus on four themes:

1. Human-centred technology: designing systems for a hybrid world of humans and AI

2. AI-Ready IT: designing, securing and scaling up intelligent systems

3. Human Intelligence Unlocked: cognitive and creative skills in the AI era

4. Future-Proof Workforce: skills, learning and employability in 2030

You can look forward to 20 inspiring speakers (all alumni of the HEROES Alliance, which represents nine higher education institutions), who will share their professional expertise with a wide audience.

You can take part either in person on campus or virtually. If you attend in person (for a fee), you will not only be able to listen to the presentations, but can also look forward to engaging discussions and excellent networking opportunities with fellow students.

The event is being organised as part of the ‘European University Networks (EUN) – National Initiative’ programme. This programme is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.
