Grand opening Joto's Boardgame Café September 13

A dream come true... former ICT & Media Design student Joanne Ye and her partner Thomas will open the doors of their own board game café in Eindhoven on 13 September. With Joto's Boardgame Café, they are expressing their shared passion for board games as well as their desire to create a welcoming meeting place in bustling Strijp-S.

Their dream: to create a place where everyone feels welcome. Not just for avid board game lovers, but also for people who are curious to discover new games or just want to enjoy a cosy evening. Whether you are young or old, expat or Dutch, experienced player or beginner, Joto's is all about coming together, playing and having fun.

Setting up a café is not something you do alone. Joanne and Thomas could count on the support of family, friends and fellow alumni, including Dylano Hartman, Vincent Weltje and Iris Vincent. Together, they worked to create a warm, homely place where visitors can enjoy a drink and regularly organised events in addition to a wide range of board games. The café can also be booked for company parties.

The grand opening of Joto's Boardgame Café will take place on 13 September at Torenallee 22-02 in Eindhoven (Strijp-S). From then on, the café will be open from Tuesday to Sunday.
