IT Festival 2026

The annual IT Festival is back on Wednesday 20 May! Partners, alumni, students and staff of Fontys ICT are all warmly welcome! An inspiring programme is planned between 12.00 and 20.30, focusing on networking, knowledge-sharing and innovation.

This year’s theme is ‘Together we shape the future of IT’, in which we will inspire our guests through our transformative technologies. Expect a dynamic day featuring sessions, interaction and plenty of opportunities to connect with our network.

A few tips in advance:

• This year there is also a research symposium, with the theme: “Thinking about value and impact of practice research in higher education.” This part of the programme starts at 10.00 am. If you’d like to attend, please remember to register separately via: https://forms.office.com/e/YkKndTdptV.
• Don’t forget to tick the box if you’re interested in a networking sessionwith alumni during the IT Festival. So far, about half of you have already done so, so we’re expecting a good turnout... (Just to give you an idea: the session is currently scheduled between 15:15 and 15:45 in open space 1.01 above the stairs, directly in front of the student desk in building R10. Keep an eye on the timetable for the latest programme).
• Have you ever been a member of the Overflow student association? If so, have a look at the video filmed during their reunion at last year’s IT festival. And now that you know where to look… you might just spot them again this year in their Overflow Legacy polo shirts during the IT festival and/or the networking event.
• If you also tick the box ‘you may contact me for accreditation’, we may contact you (now or in the future) with some questions to assess the quality of our programme, including by finding out how it has benefited you and what you are currently working on. And who better to comment on this than our own alumni?
