Microcredential for Data Driven Business Lab course

Fontys ICT has become one of the first universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands to obtain a microcredential for its shortened 'Data Driven Business Lab' course. This recognition is an important milestone within the Lifelong Development (LLO) programme and the new training offer Accelerate IT.

The microcredential meets the needs of companies in the Midpoint and Brainport region, which demand recognised diplomas for short-term courses. It allows professionals to demonstrate their specific knowledge and skills with a recognised digital certificate.

Programme manager Joris van der Straten emphasises the importance: "Professionals often need specific additional, upgrading or retraining. The microcredential provides a quality seal of approval for shorter educational units."

This development supports flexible professionalisation and gives a boost to Lifelong Development. Fontys ICT continues to innovate and respond to the needs of the labour market, which is crucial for technological progress in the region.
