ICT alumnus Rogier Verkroost publishes new book about DJ Peter Slaghuis

Almost twenty years after graduating, alumnus Rogier Verkroost (42) still works in the ICT sector. He also has a remarkable hobby as a writer of biographies.

In 2025, he will publish the book "Voor altijd een belofte, een muzikale biografie van Peter Slaghuis" (Forever a promise, a musical biography of Peter Slaghuis) with Aspekt publishers. This book is about DJ/Producer Peter Slaghuis (1961-1991), who played a very important role in the formation of Dutch dance culture in the 1980s, but who died in a car accident at the age of 30. Rogier had been in contact with artists who worked with him, such as Paul Elstak, Ben Liebrand and Extince.

Rogier previously wrote the book "Hans Gruijters, een dwarse democraat" (Hans Gruijters, a rebellious democrat) (2018) about an influential former minister who was one of the founders of the D66 political party.
