Fontys is working on secure decentralised energy systems

Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Power to Power and Fluidwell have launched the CyDES project: Cybersecurity for Decentralised Energy Systems. The project investigates how local energy solutions, such as hydrogen production, can be made digitally secure from the design stage onwards. After all, the energy transition requires flexible systems that are well protected against cyber threats.

According to professor Teade Punter, recent international incidents demonstrate how vulnerable energy infrastructures can be. With CyDES, the partners are working on reliable, future-proof and secure local energy systems. Continue reading (Article in Dutch).
